Some hints for how to research for this project:

Google Italian City States in general
Google your city state and the word Renaissance, NOT the specific thing you’re researching. So, for example, Google “Milan Renaissance” instead of “Milan government Renaissance.” The second search can be useful, but chances are you’ll get more results by searching the first way. You will need to read the resulting sites for information, and the benefit of this way of searching is that you might find information that you weren’t immediately looking for but that’s useful anyway.
In Google, you don’t need to include words like “in the” or “and.” Google excludes those from searches anyway.
You may also find some useful information by searching “Italian Renaissance.”
